Trimart Incorporated: Successful years of service to the Barbadian community
In April 2002, the three supermarkets formerly owned by Julie’N Supermart Ltd. were re-opened under the new ownership and management of Trimart Incorporated. The Bridge Street store was the first to re-open its doors; those at Rendezvous and Haggatt Hall followed in quick succession.
For thousands of anxious Barbadian shoppers this marked the return of a shopping experience which assured top quality and value for money.
A winning partnership
The consortium of A.S. Bryden & Sons (B'dos) Ltd., R.L. Seale & Co. Ltd, Goddard Enterprises Ltd., Tweedside Supply Inc. and Stokes & Bynoe Ltd., came together to form Trimart Incorporated, with the commitment to provide its stake-holders - employees, customers, and shareholders - with superior products and services. With this in mind, the company developed three basic principles that have become the foundation of the Trimart brand. The three triangles in the company’s logo represent these three principles which have assured the company’s success in the past year: Real Extra Value; The Family Store; More Savings, Better Selection.
Trimart pledges to its customers a Real Extra Value (REV) Guarantee - Competitive prices (savings), More selection (choice) and Quality produce and meat (value).
However, the company does not limit itself to these goals. Trimart has made a long-term commitment to become the leading supermarket chain committed to providing outstanding service, quality products and real extra value to each and every customer.
The winning team
The success of Trimart over the past year must be attributed to a talented and tenacious management team, who with the help of their employees have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Trimart experience is one of Real Extra Value.
Real Extra Value
Since Trimart threw open its doors to the Barbadian community in April 2002, thousands of shoppers flocked to the store to take full advantage of the savings. But there was more: in keeping with the family focus, innovations at the new stores included Family Fun Days, which saw the introduction of activities ranging from clown performances, in-store appearances by some of the island’s finest chefs, performances by traditional Mother Sallies and Prize Patrols. These activities enhanced the shopping experience of Trimart customers. With quality brands and excellent savings each customer went home a winner.
A Growing Company
In the first year of opening, Trimart met and surpassed its expectations. Trimart is continuing to build on its successes and renewing of its commitment to its customers and stakeholders. With the customer in mind, each month at Trimart will feature in-store specials and exciting promotions. These will focus on annual occasions important to the Barbadian public such as Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day and the Crop Over Festival.
The company looks forward to serving the public in the future, as it continues to create a shopping experience that is so satisfying that the customer looks forward to repeating it.
